Your August Wellness Checklist: Mind, Body & Soul

The start of a new month is your opportunity to reset — not with pressure or perfectionism, but with care. At Aléora, we believe wellness is about feeling safe in your body, supported in your mind, and aligned with your soul. This August, we’re guiding you through a gentle monthly checklist to help you glow from within.

MIND: Calm, Clear & Centred


Limit phone time in the morning:

Start your day intentionally. Avoiding screens for the first 30–60 minutes helps lower cortisol levels, reduces overstimulation, and allows your nervous system to wake up calmly.


Journal regularly (gratitude or shadow work):

Journaling supports emotional processing, pattern awareness, and mindset shifts. Gratitude journaling boosts mood, while shadow work helps you meet deeper parts of yourself.


Create a 5-minute calm ritual for overwhelm:

Whether it's deep breathing, a cup of tea, or aromatherapy — having a go-to calming ritual is a powerful way to re-regulate your nervous system in moments of stress.


Choose a monthly affirmation:

Anchoring your mindset with one powerful sentence creates emotional direction. For example: "I soften into this season."


Read a book:

Swap scrolling for soul-feeding words. Reading calms the brain, reduces stress, and reconnects you with inspiration.


Romanticise your routines:

Light a candle when you journal. Add fruit to your water. Put on a playlist while you clean. Turning the mundane into moments of joy supports a more fulfilling lifestyle.



BODY: Nourished, Energised & Cared For


Hydrate: 2L daily (try citrus water or loaded waters):

Water supports every cellular function — from skin glow to digestion. Add lemon, cucumber, or electrolytes for added benefits.


Begin the day with minerals instead of caffeine:

Your adrenals need support, not stress. Try a mineral mocktail with sea salt, magnesium, and lemon to rehydrate and replenish.


Move joyfully 3x per week:

Movement is about mood, not just muscle. Dance, stretch, walk — whatever feels good.


Take daily supplements/vitamins:

From magnesium to vitamin D, small daily habits create long-term wellness. Choose hormone-safe, filler-free options when possible.


Prioritise sleep with magnesium or a calming night drink:

Quality sleep is key for hormone regulation, skin repair, and mood balance. Add magnesium glycinate or a calming drink like tart cherry juice or "moon milk."

You only get one body — nourish it, care for it, and listen to it like you would a best friend.



SOUL: Rested, Present & Fulfilled


Try one new wellness ritual (e.g., red light, gua sha, dry brushing):

Exploring rituals brings intention to your routine. Choose one new practice and notice how it makes you feel.


Spend time outside without tech:

Natural light supports circadian rhythms, improves mood, and reconnects you with presence. Leave your phone at home when possible.


Make space for 5 minutes of quiet daily:

Meditation, stillness, prayer — whatever works for you. Silence allows the soul to breathe.


Tidy one area weekly to reset your space:

A clear space = a clearer mind. Don’t underestimate the power of resetting your environment.


Reflect on what’s emotionally draining you:

What boundaries need reinforcing? What patterns are keeping you stuck? Awareness is the first step to peace.


Dedicate time to live, not just survive:

Plan joy. Book a coffee date. Dance in your kitchen. Life isn’t a checklist — let August remind you to feel it fully.
